An Investigation into University English Language Instructors’ Inclusion of the Revised Bloom's Taxonomy of Cognitive Skills in Testing Language Skills: Selected Universities in Focus

چکیده

The purpose of this study was to investigate into university English language instructors’ inclusion the revised Bloom's Taxonomy Cognitive skills in testing undergraduate students’ skills. participants were 32 instructors who offering courses students. They selected using a purposive sampling. All participant-instructors made fill close-ended questionnaire and semi-structured interview held with four them. Document analysis also conducted judgments experts. Data collected by analyzed quantitatively frequency counts percentages, whereas data gathered through qualitatively. employed descriptive research design mixed-methods approach. study's findings revealed that test items are hardly higher-level cognitive (analyzing, evaluating creating); they completely dominated lower-level cognitions (remembering, understanding applying).
